Light Art Festival (LAF) will bring nine light installations by Slovak and international artists to the streets, park, and interiors of Trenčín on 10 and 11 April. The second LAF edition connects light with sound – visitors will experience art that is not only seen but also heard. The event will open with a special audiovisual show by musician FVLCRVM on the facade of the brutalist building ODA in the city centre on Friday at 19:45.

Transport
If you plan to arrive by car, you can use the parking house on Palackého Street with hourly parking, or the parking lot under the road bridge for €1 per hour. Parking will also be available near the City Swimming Pool.
You can also use public transport, getting off at Hasičská, Bus Station, or Gymnázium (Braneckého) if coming from the hospital direction.
Don’t forget that on both Friday and Saturday you can use a 50% discount on your train ticket if you say:
“I’m travelling to Trenčín for culture.”
On both days, special cultural express trains will also operate, featuring the interactive artwork Medzipulz, where you can create your own glowing accessory.
General information
Throughout the festival, you can use the public city toilets near the District Office. Toilets are also available in the gastro venues.
Please note that the installation Dinner with a Hyperobject is not suitable for people sensitive to flashing lights. Please be cautious and consider whether this artwork is suitable for you.
