Nano vjs (SK) – Paper dream
Open your eyes and watch! Paper Dream transforms the City Tower into a 3D canvas for visual projection and music. The Nano vjs collective created it specifically for LAF, using videomapping and VJing—techniques that enable the real-time creation of visual effects. These effects are synchronized with the music of B.eye, a world champion in finger drumming, who finger controls electronic drums and responds interactively to the projection.
As viewers immerse themselves in the visuals and sound, they may feel as if they are walking through a dream, witnessing the fusion of the micro-world of technology with the macro-world of reality in the square. This experiment with formats and content pushes the boundaries of art and transforms familiar places into unique experiences.
Nano vjs is an artistic collective founded in 2010 by Beáta Kolbašovská and Jakub Pišek in Košice. They specialize in videomapping, light and interactive installations, VJing, and multimedia performances in Slovakia and abroad. They collaborate with musicians, bands, DJs, independent theaters, and contemporary dancers. Through an interdisciplinary approach to artistic production, they create tailor-made projects. Their works are presented at group exhibitions, as well as domestic and international festivals.
