Light in Textile: Thematic Workshop (only on Friday)

How does textile change when light falls on it? In this open workshop, we will explore how different materials respond to light – through transparency, reflection, layering, and shadow. Visitors will have the opportunity to try upcycling and create simple accessories using printing techniques and attention to detail.
Students from the Arts Management studio (UTB Zlín) have prepared worksheets and short assignments that open up topics such as our consumer habits, our relationship with clothing, and its life cycle. The workshop also connects to the light installations of the Light Art Festival in the city, demonstrating how textile can respond to its surroundings – both visually and functionally.
