Artwork

Artikulón is an interactive sound object that enables intuitive music-making through touchless control. It brings together contemporary art, design, and technology in an experience where body movement is transformed into sound resembling the human voice.

The object, reminiscent of a harp with invisible strings, works not only with pitch and duration but also with formants – sound qualities that shape vocal timbre and enable vowel articulation. This allows users to control articulation and create melodic or experimental sound sequences, even without musical experience. A coloured light interface provides orientation in pitch and immediate visual feedback.

Artikulón encourages playfulness, curiosity, and shared experiences for both children and adults, offering a new and accessible way of engaging with sound and voice in public space.
